Shah Rukh Khan will perform only for me – Deepika Padukone

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan proved once again why he is the Badshah of the industry. Recently the actor suffered an accident on the sets of Happy New Year but was back on call in a couple of hours. Despite not being present during the three-day rehearsal schedules, the day before the event SRK walked in at 5 pm on crutches.

As per sources, SRK even though not completely healed after his injury on the sets of ‘Happy New Year’ entertained the audience at the awards function. He proved a huge draw when he turned magician on Saturday night. Right from his disappearing act, to producing a handkerchief from thin air, SRK ensured all eyes were on him. He introduced all the nominated best movies and even did a spoof of them. He danced, jumped and performed comic gigs centered around Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani, Dhoom 3 and Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. One of the highlights of the evening was his tribute act to Aashiqui 2 music. He went on to challenge singer Ankit of Sun Raha Hoon fame from Aashiqui 2 to perform the alaap without music. The singer accepted the challenge and enthralled everyone with his vocals. SRK also partnered with comedian Bharti to raise laughs.

SRK was to join Deepika on stage during her performance but that act was cancelled. “He is performing tonight only because he can see me in the audience. He is dancing for me. I will sit on the first row and he will perform only for me,” she said.

Well such is the charisma of SRK that soon he had every one at the venue mesmerized by his presence on stage.
