‘Shakuntala Devi’ biopic: Sanya Malhotra in a never-seen-before avatar as Vidya Balan’s daughter

Sanya Malhotra will be seen in Vidya Balan starrer ‘Shakuntala Devi-Human Computer’. Sanya will be essaying the pivotal role of Anupama Banerji, daughter of Shakuntala Devi. Today her first look as Anupama Banerji has come out. Trade analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh took to his Twitter handle to release the first look of Sanya.

Sharing the poster, he wrote, “Sanya Malhotra as Anupama Banerji in #ShakuntalaDevi”. In the poster, we see Sanya in a different look which we have never seen before. She is seen with long hair with fringes.

Sanya is very much excited about the film. Earlier, she said, “I am very excited to play the iconic Shakuntala Devi’s daughter – Anupama Banerji. Everyone knows the achievements of the math genius Shakuntala Devi. I’m thrilled to bring onscreen this dynamic mother-daughter relationship and equally thrilled to work with Vidya Balan. Also looking forward to my first association with Sony Pictures Networks Productions and Vikram Malhotra.”

Produced by Sony Pictures Networks Productions and Vikram Malhotra, the biopic is directed by Anu Menon. It will release in summer 2020.
