Shalmali collaborates with Sunidhi Chauhan for her next single Here Is Beautiful

Having a successful career in the Hindi film industry and giving us many rocking chartbusters, singer/songwriter Shalmali has always pushed the envelope with her unconventional choices and has created her own mark as an artist. Bringing her quirky self with a pinch of oomph, Shalmali has always been ahead in making music independently and collaborating with all kinds of artists. Last year she released her debut English single Regular which grabbed many eyeballs. Shalmali is now all set to release her debut album titled 2X in 2021. The first single to hit the charts is Here Is Beautiful that features none other than – Sunidhi Chauhan.

Shalmali wrote this song as a gift to her partner. She happened to have a chanced conversation with Sunidhi that lead to this beautiful collaboration. The single is all set to be released on 9th April 2021. As part of an extensive launch, Shalmali will be releasing the album in two phases – 2X Side A dropping on 22 nd April and 2X Side B later in the year with a grand total of 12 tracks.

Talking about the single and album, Shalmali commented “I’ve been in the music industry for almost 10 years now, but I’ve never experienced music the way I have making this album. This, to me truly, is my best work so far. I had the opportunity and privilege of working with and singing alongside my idol, Sunidhi Chauhan. I don’t know if anything will ever come close to this.”

Sunidhi added, “Working with Shalmali on Here is Beautiful has been delightful. Never thought we would end up doing something so special over our casual meetings and coffees. I’m glad that I got to know the brilliant songwriter and a composer in her, coz she’s just amazing and I couldn’t resist being a part of an album that is so important and path breaking for her. If I may say so, I’m proud.”
