Shankar Mahadevan undergoes Angioplasty following a cardiac arrest

One of the most well-known singers and composers of Bollywood, Shankar Mahadevan was recently hospitalized after he complained of a chest pain. It’s been said that the ‘Breathless’ singer suffered two cardiac arrest back to back and a surgery has been carried out on him. He is in a hospital in Delhi recuperating from angioplasty.

According to the reports, his son sent out a quote wherein he said, “It was mainly due to exhaustion. Dad underwent angioplasty on the first day itself when he was hospitalised. Thankfully, there weren’t any major blockages. He is recuperating well and the doctors said he would be discharged within a day or two.”

Soon after his operation, the ace singer too tweeted and thanked all his fans for all the support. He said,

His next concert which was supposed to take place in Mumbai has been cancelled following his ill heath. We have now learnt that Sonu Nigam has replaced Shankar for this concert.
