Rishi Kapoor is back in India after completing his cancer treatment in New York. The actor will be seen with Juhi Chawla in ‘Sharmaji Namkeen’. Directed by Hitesh Bhatia, it will be produced by Excel Entertainment in collaboration with MacGuffin Pictures.
Mumbai Mirror quoted a source saying, “Hitesh’s film is currently under pre-production. It will be shot from scratch and goes on the floors in Mumbai on Thursday. This will be followed by a month-long schedule in Delhi in January.” The source further said that Rishi had begun shooting for the film in Delhi last year when he was diagnosed with cancer.

With this movie, Juhi Chawla and Rishi Kapoor will be sharing the same screen space after a gap of 10 years. They were last seen in Zoya Akhtar’s ‘Luck By Chance’. They had earlier worked in films like ‘Bol Radha Bol’, ‘Daraar’, ‘Eena Meena Deeka’, and ‘Saajan Ka Ghar’ among others.
Currently, Rishi Kapoor is gearing up for his upcoming movie ‘The Body’ directed by Jeethu Joseph. The movie also stars Emraan Hashmi, Sobhita Dhulipala and Vedhika. It is slated to release on December 13, 2019.
