Sharmaji Namkeen trailer: Rishi Kapoor, Paresh Rawal prove that ‘there is no age to coming of age’

Late Rishi Kapoor’s last film ‘Sharmaji Namkeen’ is all over the headlines. The dream of millions of his fans to witness him on their screens is soon going to get fulfilled as his last film is all set to release. Earlier today, the makers have unveiled the much-awaited trailer of Rishi Kapoor’s last movie.

For the first time, the audience will witness two legendary actors- Rishi Kapoor and Paresh Rawal playing one memorable character in the movie. The film revolves around a heartwarming story of self-realization and discovery. It follows the life of a recently retired, widower man who discovers his passion for cooking after joining a riotous women’s kitty circle.

The film marks Rishi Kapoor’s posthumous appearance following his death on 30 April 2020. However, Paresh Rawal stepped into the shoes of the late actor completed the role of Kapoor after his unfortunate demise. Both the actors are playing the role of Sharmaji in the movie.

On Wednesday, ahead of the film’s release, the late actor’s son and actor Ranbir Kapoor, shared a heartwarming message for his father Rishi Kapoor’s fans. He urged fans to watch his father’s movie. The Brahmastra actor further added, “Sharmaji Namkeen will always be my one of the most fondest memories of my father. Up on screen, bringing a smile to his countless fans.”

Meanwhile, apart from Rishi and Paresh, Sharmaji Namkeen will also star Juhi Chawla, Suhail Nayyar, Taaruk Raina, Satish Kaushik, Sheeba Chaddha, and Isha Talwar. Directed by Hitesh Bhatia and produced by Excel Entertainment in association with MacGuffin Pictures. The movie will be released on March 31, this year on the OTT platform Amazon Prime Video.
