Shashi said that nepotism could only last for so long, “I believe that nepotism is a very obvious thing. I don’t think it has a very big role because if you will look at the history. It has never happened that successful actors’ son is also a successful actor. In fact, if you see the ratio, there will be more failures. Why can’t an actor’s child be an actor? But a sort of mafia culture that is happening, the ones who want to get ahead by stopping someone else’s work; that is wrong, and they should be exposed. If there is a gang, then people should get to know of it.”

Khushi added, “If Sachin Tendulkar’s son wants to become a cricketer then there is nothing wrong in that. You can get an opportunity but nobody can guarantee you success. You cant say Alia Bhatt is not a good actress or Varun Dhawan is not a good actor. Jitne bhi hit hai, woh sahi meh talented bhi hai. Yes, they got opportunities easily but then that was only the first time. They have sustained because of their hard work and talent. Getting opportunities definitely becomes easier, there is doubt about that but, to keep getting opportunities is based on your talent.”

Meanwhile, talking about their new song ‘Soon’, Khushi said, “We’ve been working for 3 years together now and we had our ups and downs. According to us, we have a great bank of songs but it was taking its own sweet time to get released or get selected. So this frustration of when things will happen and how soon will it happen. Aditya Ojha is a guy from Allahabad whose parents are unaware of his songwriting. He picked up this topic (soon) from our conversations and he made an entire story around it.”

He further added, “‘Soon’ is sort of a proposal/ warning for every couple out there who want to take the plunge. Either you do it soon or get lost. But if you look at the word ‘soon’, it fits so aptly into everything that we do in our lives. We want everything to happen quickly, we want Corona to go soon, we want to go for a holiday soon, whatever we want to do, we want to do it soon. The soon fits in every well in every situation.”
