Sonakshi Sinha-Zaheer Iqbal wedding: Shatrughan Sinha confesses to ‘pre-wedding conflict’;’ says, “Yeh sab hota hi hai”

Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal are all set to celebrate their union with family and close friends tomorrow evening at a restaurant in South Mumbai. While reports suggest the couple will be registering their marriage on the morning of June 23, the bride’s father, actor-politician Shatrughan Sinha has finally opened up about the prior reported unhappiness surrounding Sonakshi and Zaheer’s union. During a recent chat, Shatrughan revealed that the pre-wedding conflicts reported in the media have been sorted and solved.

For those who don’t know, rumours of a rift between Sonakshi and the remaining members of the Sinha family first surfaced when the ‘Kalicharan’ actor said that he wasn’t aware of her forthcoming wedding. He said, “Aaj kal ke bachche consent nahin lete maa-baap ke, sirf inform karte hain. We are waiting to be informed.” He recently slammed media houses for spreading rumours about family tension saying, “Those who are coming out with fake news are just sounding very frustrated with this joyous occasion as they are spreading nothing but lies. I’d like to caution them with my signature dialogue: Khamosh, it’s none of your business.”

Shatrughan Sinha on conflicts before Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal’s wedding

During a recent chat with Times Now, Shatrughan Sinha set some records clear. Firstly, he stated that this Sunday is not Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal’s wedding but is a reception party. The veteran actor-turned-politician said, “It is the wedding reception that we are all attending on the evening of June 23.” He added, “No one from my family said anything about a wedding. Some media outlets have just been presuming things. Too much attention is being given to something that is a private family matter.”

Talking about the reported unhappiness in the Sinha household, Shatrughan Sinha said, “Shadiyan sab ke ghar hoti hain. Pre-wedding conflicts are also common. We are all okay now. Whatever the stress has been sorted.” He continued, “Koi wand nahi hai. Yeh sab hota hi hai har shaadi main (There is no conflict, these things happen). Just because she is Shatrughan Sinha’s daughter, it doesn’t mean Sonakshi can’t have what she wants in life. Hum log bohot maza karenge June 23 ko. (We will have a blast on Sunday.)”

Last evening, the ‘Double XL’ co-stars hosted a mehendi ceremony at the actress’ home. For the function, the ‘Heeramandi; actress was seen looking beautiful in a rust-orange ensemble while her soon-to-be husband looked dashing in a white kurta with quirky prints in the same colour as the actress’ outfit. As per reports, Salman Khan, Honey Singh, the cast of Heeramandi, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Daisy Shah, Poonam Dhillon and many more celebs from the fraternity will attend tomorrow evening’s celebration.
