Shatrughan Sinha FUMES at Shah Rukh Khan: He didn’t even thank me for supporting Aryan Khan

Actor-politician Shatrughan Sinha was amongst the few celebrities who extended support to Aryan Khan during his arrest by the NCB (Narcotics Control Bureau) in the cruise ship drug case last year. He had spoken against the arrest of Aryan Khan and even criticized the agency. Aryan Khan, son of actor Shah Rukh Khan, got a clean chit from the NCB in the cruise ship drug case, recently. After Aryan got a clean chit in the drugs case, in an interview recently, Sinha said that he feels vindicated. However, Shatrughan Sinha also said that he did not even receive a thank you from Shah Rukh Khan, for supporting Aryan Khan.

While speaking with Nation Next recently, when Sinha was asked if Aryan Khan’s case made him feel concerned as a parent to a famous child, he reacted to it and shared his thoughts. Reacting to the same, the actor-politician said, “As a parent, I felt Shah Rukh Khan’s pain. Even if he was guilty, instead of rehabilitating him, they locked him up…”

Talking about Shah Rukh Khan further, he added, “I should also say that, as expected, I didn’t receive a thank you card from Shah Rukh, even though I was maybe the most prominent voice standing up for Aryan in all of Mumbai. But I have a habit of calling a spade a spade, and for standing up for what is right. I stood up against what I believed was an injustice. As far as Shah Rukh is concerned, I didn’t receive any thanks or a thank you card from him.”

Moving on, when Sinha was asked if he had reached out to SRK. On the same, Sinha said, “No, absolutely not.” He continued, “Why would I, I don’t need work from him. I don’t need to get in touch with him, in fact, he should have gotten in touch with me.”

However, the actor also said that Shah Rukh had never sought his support as well. “But, to be fair to him, he didn’t ask me for support either.”

For the unversed, Aryan Khan was arrested by the NCB in October last year. He was arrested after the NCB carried out a raid on a cruise ship near Mumbai. Aryan was given the clean chit in the case by the agency citing ‘lack of sufficient evidence’ and ‘shortcomings’ in the probe.
