Shekhar Kapur’s ‘Paani’ to feature Sobhita Dhulipala?

If sources are to be believed, the much delayed film ‘Paani’ helmed by Shekhar Kapur has found its leading lady.

Miss Earth India 2013 Sobhita Dhulipala who will be seen in the movie ‘Raman Raghav 2.0’ may be cast as the leading lady, as per sources. As of now, only Sushant Singh Rajput has been signed on the dotted line. Earlier this year, Yahs Raj Films pulled out of this project due to creative differences with Kapur.

A source states, “Sobhita is making her acting debut with Anurag Kashyap’s ‘Raman Raghav 2.0’ starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui. Those who have seen her work have appreciated her and recently, she even met Kapur for a long chat.”

The source also says that recently Shekhar Kapur was seen having a long discussion with the beauty, and we are guessing it maybe for his movie ‘Paani’ which has been in the making for over a decade. There have been many rumours about various actresses being considered for the female lead, but there hasn’t been any confirmation on this yet. Also, as per reports, Shekhar is trying to get a major film studio to back his film after Yash Raj Films abandoned it.
