When Sherlyn was asked about her awkward experiences in the industry, she said,  “Initially yes! I used to call producers and they would say ‘dinner karte hai?’ Then I would say ‘Sir, dinner toh mera ho gaya. Toh do do dinner karne ka kya matlab hain?’ Aur tab mujhe malum nahi tha dinner ka dusra matlab kya hota hain. Initially, kaha training milti hain ki dinner ke do matlab hote hain. Ek woh jo food related hota hain aur ek woh jo hawas related hota hain. Dhire dhire samajh aaya aur pata chala. Mujhe thoda sa awkward lagne laga ki hum jab kaam ki baat karte hain toh ye (producers) dinner ki baat kyu karte hain.” (I used to call producers and they would ask me for dinner. Then I would say I already had dinner. Then what’s the reason for having dinner two times? At that point of time, I didn’t know that dinner has two different meanings-one is related to food and the other is related to lust. Eventually, I came to know the meaning of it and I feel awkward that whenever I used to talk about work, they used to talk about dinner)

She further added, “I started approaching people from a position of confidence and they mistake confidence for intimidation. Unko lagta hain ki ‘she is very intimidating, humari toh equation nahi ban payegi’. Kyun nahi ban payegi? Aap ki niyaat agar saaf ho, toh zaroor banegi.” (They used to think that I am very intimidating and there can’t be an equation. If your intentions are good, then, of course, there will be an equation)

On the work front, Sherlyn is riding high on success with her latest release Punjabi music video titled ‘Tunu Tunu’.
