Shershaah: Here’s how Kiara Advani convincingly plays Dimple Cheema in this Sidharth Malhotra starrer

There are very few love stories that pierce your heart and yet provide solace knowing that an unconditional love like this still exists. Captain Vikram Batra and his fiance Dimple Cheema’s love story is one of those heartwrenching stories.

Shershaah based on the life of Param Vir Chakra awardee Captain Vikram Batra is gearing up for its release on August 12th. While Sidharth Malhotra plays the role of the Kargil war hero, Kiara Advani plays his girlfriend Dimple Cheema who played an important part in the brave martyr’s life.

Just like Sidharth, Kiara too spent a lot of time researching and knowing Dimple closely in order to portray her character on the celluloid. The prep for her role involved Kiara reading stories about army wives and families who stay away from their loved one – serving the army, to understand their emotional journey. To get an insight into this unique love story, she met Dimple which was an overwhelming experience for the actress. This helped her to stay real with her character.

In Shershaah’s trailer and songs, Sidharth and Kiara’s chemistry has already pleasantly surprised the audiences. Their chemistry is definitely one of the several major highlights of this film and now we are eagerly looking forward to watching them on screen.
