EXCLUSIVE: Sidharth Malhotra REVEALS this unknown detail about Vikram Batra biopic

Sidharth Malhotra who hasn’t had any groundbreaking hits at the box office for the longest time is in desperate need of a hit film. The actor who kick-started his career with ‘Student Of The Year’ is eagerly waiting for the release of Vikram Batra biopic which has perhaps turned out really well according to the sources.

While people would believe that Batra biopic would be an out and out action film but the makers are cashing on the love story of Batra. Elaborating on the same, Sidharth shares, “It is not an action film, it has a love story. The love story is so beautiful in the film. It is an emotional story about a soldier, about his parents, his twin brother, his family life, his army life and then the Kargil war and people who gave their lives. We have been working on it for a long time.”

This biopic on Kargil war hero Vikram Batra has been officially titled ‘Shershaah’. The film features Sidharth alongside Kiara Advani. Further revealing about the training part, the actor said, “We trained for about two-and-half to three weeks at a ground here and then in Kargil as well, it is on high altitude and oxygen is less. But I did not have issues physically luckily. We had gun training, ammunition, handling the unit and changing as what a soldier would know.”

Besides this, Sidharth will be next seen in ‘Marjaavaan’ that also stars Tara Sutaria and Riteish Deshmukh. The movie will hit the theatres on November 15.
