Shershaah Trailer: Sidharth Malhotra brings Captain Vikram Batra to life; leaves fans saying ‘Yeh Dil Maange More’

Sidharth Malhotra has left his fans in awe after he brought Kargil hero Captain Vikram Batra to life in his much talked about biopic Shershaah. The makers just released the trailer of Shershaah and it looks quite promising, from the chemistry between Sidharth and rumoured girlfriend Kiara Advani to the sheer patriotism that runs through the core of the film. Shershaah trailer begins with beautiful visuals of the icy heights of Kargil that will take your breath away, but we are soon faced with the bone-chilling fear of how dangerous the place is with the intense bombing by Pakistan. Before we see Sidharth in his army avatar, he gives a voiceover about there is no religion above the love for the nation for an armyman.

Sidharth was seen saying the famous line of Captain Vikram Batra, “I’ll either come back after raising the Indian flag in victory or return wrapped in it, but I will come for sure.” Kiara Advani will be seen playing the role of Dimple Cheena. Dimple was Vikram’s fiancee. Vikram passed away in the Kargil war and Dimple did not marry ever deciding to live as his widow.

The trailer has kept the pace throughout and looks quite promising. Sidharth had shared the trailer on his social media account with a caption that read, “Captain Vikram Batra reporting on duty! The wait is finally over, I’m honoured to present to you the legendary story of our Kargil War Hero.”

Shershaah is presented jointly by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Amazon Prime Video India. The Sidharth and Kiara starrer will release on August 12, ahead of Independence Day.
