Shibani Dandekar adds ‘Akhtar’ to surname on Instagram post-wedding with Farhan Akhtar

Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar tied the knot in an intimate ceremony on February 19, 2022. The duo exchanged wedding vows at Javed Akhtar and Shabana Azmi’s Khandala farmhouse, in the presence of family members and close friends.

Now, Shibani has officially added her husband Farhan Akhtar’s surname to hers on Instagram. Now, Shibani Dandekar’s Instagram name is ‘Shibani Dandekar Akhtar’ now. Not just that, the Four More Shots Please actress has also made changes to her Instagram profile which now reads as ‘Mrs Akhtar’, followed by a dancing emoji. Well, isn’t that cute?

On 21st of February, Farhan and Shibani registered their court marriage. However, currently, the world awaits the newlyweds Akhtar and Dandekar to share pictures from their D-Day. The pictures from their wedding made rounds on the Internet and by looking at them, it won’t be wrong in saying that the couple had a gala time at their wedding.

Earlier, on Monday, the newlyweds Farhan and Shibani had made their first-ever public appearance as husband and wife in front of the paparazzi. They were seen twinning in gold and blush pink outfits and looked simply stunning. The couple also distributed sweets to the paparazzi. Later, that same day, Farhan’s sister Zoya Akhtar had organized a bash for the newly-wed couple.

Meanwhile, Farhan and Shibani’s low-key wedding was attended by their friends from the industry, including celebrities like Hrithik Roshan, Saqib Saleem, Rhea Chakraborty, filmmaker Farah Khan, Farhan’s sister Zoya Akhtar, music composers Shankar Mahadevan, Ehsaan Noorani and Loy Mendonsa among others.

They kicked off their wedding festivities with the Mehendi ceremony in Mumbai on Thursday. The lovebirds have been dating each other for more than four years now.
