Shibani Dandekar was shocked by the ‘unexpected proposal’ from Farhan Akhtar, Here’s why

Actor Shibani Dandekar and filmmaker/ actor Farhan Akhtar had the most beautiful and intimate wedding that one can really hope for. The couple got married on February 19 in Lonavala with limited people in attendance. But did you know the Dil Dhadakne Do actor popped the question in the Maldives? Hence, the place is quite special for them. However, Shibani recently revealed that she was shocked by the unexpected proposal from Farhan. She not only didn’t see that coming but also mentioned that she thought of herself as the kind who never wanted to get married.

Shibani Dandekar and Farhan Akhtar recently graced the cover page of Elle magazine post their wedding. During a candid interview, Shibani recalled the moment and told the portal, “It was a very unexpected proposal. I had no idea it was going to happen. We had not even discussed it. But this is again Farhan, when he decides something, he does it. I was never the kind who wanted to get married and have all that jazz. But when Farhan asked, it just felt right in the moment and after the initial shock, I said yes!”

In the same interview, Shibani revealed that Farhan is extremely competitive which even made her rethink her relationship with him.

The Sultan actor recalled, “The first time that we played together was Scrabble on one of our earlier dates and it was a real flag. By the end of the game, I was like I need to leave this house and maybe rethink this relationship! I was cheating a bit and also trying to Google words and he was so competitive that it was scary. You have to see when Farhan, Zoya and Ritesh play together; it is scary. Farhan hates to lose and doesn’t like it when anyone else wins. He’s competitive to another level when it comes to board games.”
