A day back, Shilpa Shetty and Salman Khan’s recpective statements landed them amid trouble. While Salman, while promoting ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ on a TV show described the word ‘Bhangi’ to use his dancing style, Shilpa lightheartedly used the same to describe her dressing style at home. This irked the Valmikis, a Dalit community predominantly seen in Rajasthan. An FIR was even lodged against Salman for the same.
Now, Shilpa has taken to Twitter to apologise in case her remarks hurt anybody’s statement.
Some of my words from an interview in the past have been misinterpreted. It was never said with the intent of hurting anyone’s feelings…

I apologize if they have. I’m proud to belong to a country that boasts of diverse castes and creeds and I respect each one of them.🙏🙏

Hope this puts a rest to the controversy!
