Shilpa Shetty’s sassy first look as Satyavati from KD reminds fans of Alia Bhatt starrer Gangubai Kathiawadi

On Wednesday, actor Shilpa Shetty announced her new movie titled KD on her Instagram. While announcing the same, she even shared her first look as Satyavati where she is seen giving out retro vibes. In the poster, Shilpa is wearing a pretty polka-dot saree and a red blouse. To add a tinge of sass to her look, we see Shilpa oozing swag in black sunglasses.

We also see Shilpa against the backdrop of a vintage car. Sharing the picture on her gram, Shetty wrote, “Ugadi subhakankshalu Gudi Padwyachya hardik shubheccha On this auspicious day of NEW beginnings, I’m thrilled to share with you a NEW character entering the war in #KD’s battlefield as #Satyavati!”

The moment she shared her first, fans were reminded of Alia Bhatt’s look from Gangubai Kathiawadi. Among many fans, one commented, “ye picture gangubai ki to copy lag rahi hai…” there was another one who wrote, “Congratulations! You look lit.” There was one more who wrote, “Is it remake of gangubai??!! Am i only one who thinks it’s similar to gangubai in first glance ??!”

As some of the fans were comparing her look with Alia Bhatt, there were many who welcomed Shilpa Shetty again into the Kannada industry. One wrote, “Welcome back to our kannada industry shilpa madam… Again wel come kannada industry” while another one said, “Welcome back to kannada mam.”

The Dhadkan actor had a successful career in Kannada cinema with releases such as Preethsod Thappa, Ondagona Baa and Auto Shankar.

Speaking about the movie KD, it is a big-budget multilingual project which is headlined by Dhruva Sarja. It also has Ravichandran in the pivotal role and Sanjay Dutt as the antagonist. The shooting of the movie is still undergoing.
