Shilpa Shetty gets a special shoutout from IPS Kiran Bedi for Indian Police Force

Shilpa Shetty became the first female police officer in Rohit Shetty’s cop universe by joining his OTT debut Indian Police Force. Recently, the actress revealed how IPS officer Kiran Bedi was her inspiration behind playing a cop in the show. Now post this revelation, Shilpa received a special something from Kiran Bedi herself.

Kiran Bedi responds to Shilpa Shetty

The first woman IPS officer responded to Shilpa on social media and wrote, “Very Generous of you Shilpa Shetty. Most grateful for your kind words. Wish you well. Am looking forward to watching the show.” Elated with this, Shilpa also replied saying, “Thank you for always inspiring me and for setting such a fantastic example of what a fierce, brave, and passionate officer looks like, Kiran Ji much love!”

Talking about Kiran Bedi, Shilpa had earlier said, “Kiran Bediji has such a gravitas, a fierce personality. She was so passionate about what she did when she was in that position, hence I have a huge amount of respect for her. She also has a great sense of humor, there is a certain way Kiranji speaks, that was always there in my head.”

Shilpa will be the first female cop in Rohit Shetty’s cop verse. She will be seen playing Officer Shetty in the Indian Police Force which releases on January 19. The show also features Sidharth Malhotra in his OTT debut, along with Vivek Oberoi. It will stream on Amazon Prime Video.
