Shilpa Shetty remembers father on birth anniversary, pays heartfelt tribute

Shilpa Shetty remembered her father, Surendra Shetty, with an emotional Instagram post on his birth anniversary today. The ‘Dhadkan’ actress took to social media and shared a throwback photo with her late father and sister Shamita Shetty. In her caption, Shilpa also asked for a blessing from her late father for her sister Shamita, who is currently inside ‘Bigg Boss 15’ house.

The actress paid a heartfelt tribute to her late father and penned an emotional caption that read as: “Happy birthday, Daddy! We know that you’re right here protecting us like our Guardian Angel… always shielding and bringing us victorious out of tough situations. Tunki needs you around now, Daddy… and I know you’re already there with her. Love you… praying for you always!❤️???”

In the picture shared by Shilpa, the trio are seen happily posing for the camera and flaunting their smiles. Shilpa and Shamita’s father Surendra Shetty passed away on October 11, 2016, after suffering a cardiac arrest. Every now and then, the actress takes to social media and remembers her late father.

Recently, Shilpa also attended the wedding of former aviation minister Praful Patel’s son Prajay.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Shilpa was last seen in Priyadarshan’s ‘Hungama 2.’ The movie also featured Paresh Rawal, Meezaan Jafri, and Pranitha Subhash. It also marked the comeback of Shetty for the first time in 14 years since the 2007 film, ‘Apne.’ She will also be seen next in Sabbir Khan’s film ‘Nikamma’ which will star Abhimanyu Dassani, and Shirley Setia in the lead role. However, the release date of the film is yet to be announced.

She is also seen as the judges’ panel of India’s Got Talent.
