We all know actress Shilpa Shetty is a fitness freak and she never compromises on her health and diet. As reported by Mid-Day, the actress recently turned down an endorsement offer for a brand of Ayurvedic slimming pills. Citing the reason why she won’t endorse the product, Shilpa told the daily that she can’t sell something that she doesn’t believe in.
She said, “Slimming pills and fad diets can be tempting since they promise instant results, but nothing beats the sense of pride of being committed to your routine and eating right. A lifestyle modification works so much better in the long term.”
The publication reported that Shilpa was offered a whopping amount of Rs. 10 crore for the endorsement. A source told the publication, “She has always been clear about adopting the healthy route to fitness. A strict yoga practitioner and a firm believer in the concept of eating right, she has, time and again, cautioned youngsters to not fall for fad diets or unnatural substitutes for weight loss. It was a no-brainer for her to let the deal pass.”
Kudos to her!
On the work front, Shilpa is making her comeback in Bollywood with ‘Nikamma’. She has started shooting for her role of Avni. The movie has Abhimanyu Dassani and Shirley Setia. Directed by Sabbir Khan, the movie is slated to hit the screens in 2020.
