Shilpa Shetty Kundra never puts her sartorial endeavours on the back burner and is always up for style challenges. And this time, the lady has got us hooked on this interesting Japanese kimono-inspired style that we admittedly can’t wait to try ourselves. (Also read: Shilpa Shetty’s movie date with family. At the Brand Vision Awards, Shilpa wore a gorgeous Rajesh Pratap Singh shirt dress with tie-up detailing at the waist. The plain white number with a zip at the front was splattered with shimmery gold patches that almost saved it from resembling a female samurai’s trademark look. Ah, thank god. But the outfit had the kimono feel, minus the floral elements.

But what really added to the entire Japanese vibe, apart from the ensemble, was the differently done hairstyle. We always see Shilpa in her signature tousled hair, but this time, hairstylist Sheetal Khan opted for a top knot with some hair strands left loose over the face to create a soft look. We must say, that is quite a welcome change. The actress went the no-accessories route and let the outfit do all the talking. The black heels rounded off the look, adding a lovely contrast to the white and gold hues.
For the beauty game, makeup artist Ajay Shelar chose heavily penciled eyebrows, which we thought were a little out of place. Subtle brown brows would have definitely worked better. We like the dark eye-shadow though, but would have again preferred a splash of colour on the eyes. What say?
We’ll give her an A for just trying out a cool new hairstyle and of course, for the hatke outfit.
