‘Bigg Boss 11’ winner Shilpa Shinde joins Congress

‘Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain’ actress and former ‘Bigg Boss‘ winner Shilpa Shinde had joined Congress party yesterday in the presence of Sanjay Nirupam, President of Mumbai Congress Committee and party leader Charan Singh Sapra. The actress is very much elated for the new journey of her life.

Shilpa Shinde wants to see Rahul Gandhi as the next Prime Minister. She confirmed the news during a media interaction yesterday. She has also revealed the reasons behind joining the Congress party. Shilpa said that being in politics will make her life easy as she has seen lots of struggles in life. Also, she wants to help common people by joining politics. Have a look at the video.

Shilpa also talked on her future political plans. She said, “Yeah. Right now, I am joining the party. Later, I will get a clear picture from (where) I am going to fight.”

When asked why she joined Congress, the actress said, “I don’t know, but my father was also in Congress. He was a good friend of Sharad Pawar and Sushil Kumar Shinde…”

For the uninitiated, Shilpa made her television debut in 1999, but she rose into fame with the daily soap ‘Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain’. Her character Angoori Bhabhi became a household name. Later she participated ‘Bigg Boss 11’ where she became popular for her stint in the show.
