Film editor-turned-director Shirish Kunder, who last directed “Joker”, will now be seen launching the Kindle version of Mohan Deep’s novel “Color Me Rich” which perhaps is inspired by the Hema Upadhyay murder case.
“‘Color Me Rich’ turned out to have a striking resemblance to the recent murder of painter Hema Upadhyay… maybe Mohan Deep is the killer on the run!,” said Kunder.
“Mohan Deep and I have been on touch on social media. When he asked me to launch his book. I told him that I hate books and book lovers because they destroy trees. So he asked me to launch the Kindle edition and now I am happy,” he added.
‘Color Me Rich’ is a love story set in Mumbai. It’s a love story of a struggling painter Akash with a rich love-interest and examines the relevance of money and creativity.
Mohan Deep, the author of the novel, says: “Shirish Kunder is a new age guy. He is witty and creative. I have seen the spark in him and I find him annoyed with the conventions that suppress him, his persona, and his creativity.
“His being at the launch of the Kindle edition is the proof of it. He is the next big thing as a film maker. Mark my words. I am glad that he is by my side.”
Kunder will launch the Kindle version of the book here on January 16.
