Shocker – Yo Yo Honey Singh dead?

‘Rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh dead’ were the rumors abounding on social network. Stories were also circulating on BlackBerry Messenger and the WhatsApp social application stating the Bollywood rapper has died in car accident. Last heard Honey Singh was in Dubai promoting the Global Fighting Championships at the World Trade Centre. The news spread like wildfire across Twitter and Facebook too.

As per sources, fans of the singer were also tweeting pictures of Honey Singh from a hospital bed in Punjab, which others have refuted and said are from a show on MTV India. Others have placed him in Jaipur. While the manhunt for his actual location continues on Twitter, his fans were far from impressed with the latest death hoax.

Sources further added that, Fans of the rapper can now heave a sigh of relief as Yo Yo Honey Singh is alive as per his Twitter account. An update appeared on the singer’s official account saying: “News of Yo Yo’s accident is a fake rumor must be spread by some haters. Please don’t bother and Keep blessing Yo Yo .”

This is not the first time the social media rumor mill has killed off a celebrity. Over the last few years, several celebrity deaths have circulated on social media, including that of Bollywood stars Madhuri Dixit-Nene and Ayushmaan Khurranna.
