Shraddha Kapoor reveals how she came to grab the role of Jiah in ‘Rock On 2’

Shraddha Kapoor’s joy knows no bounds, ever since she has been cast in ‘Rock On 2’, where she will be seen alongside Farhan Akhtar, Arjun Rampal, and Purab Kohli, as a new addition to ‘Magik’ band. The actress was a fan of the original, which came way back in the year 2008, and was overjoyed to be a part of the sequel.

Shraddha said that when she came to know that a sequel is on cards, she herself called Ritesh Sidhwani to ask if she could play a part. Shraddha, who calls her father Shakti Kapoor affectionately as ‘Baps’ told him that she had to try, that if there is a sequel, she has to star in it, and thus, has to try no matter what.

In her own words, “I didn’t even think twice and called Ritesh and asked are is this true, you making a sequel? He said yes it is true and so I asked him, do you wanna meet me for it? He said, of course we would love to meet.”

That’s how she got the audition, and the rest, is history. We are already loving Shraddha’s voice in the tracks and we are sure she will rock it as the only female member of the band.
