It’s just been a few hours after the release of first song ‘Baarish’ from the upcoming film ‘Half Girlfriend‘. This melodious track has been picturised on the lead pair of this film, actors Arjun Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor. Apart from catching the glimpse of Arjun-Shraddha’s mesmerising onscreen chemistry, there is something else that caught our attention in this song. And that is actress Shraddha’s hidden love for rain songs.
Yes! The actress who had made her Bollywood debut with ‘Teen Patti’ has done three songs with drizzling water all around her. And those are in films ‘Aashiqui 2’, ‘Ek Villain’ and ‘Baaghi’. Not surprisingly, all these songs have become the one of the most loved songs of the season, depicting romance with those drops of rain dancing around with the rhythm. ‘Baarish’ is another such beautiful number which introduces Shraddha’s character beautifully, and we feel an instant connect to her. Even Shraddha had quoted to a leading daily, saying, “There’s nothing more romantic than the rain and since these sequences have worked well for me, I don’t mind getting drenched at all. I love dancing in the rains. Add Mohit Suri’s music and it’s pure magic.” [sic]
‘Half Girlfriend’ is the third film which will see Shraddha teaming up with director Mohit Suri.
Rain, romance and Shraddha. Well, this is definitely turning out to be a winning combo. Let us see how fruitful it turns out to be in ‘Half Girlfriend’, Chetan Bhagat’s story brought to celluloid from the pages of the novel.
‘Half Girlfriend’ is slated to release on May 19, 2017.
