We all know that Anushka Shetty was the first choice to star opposite Prabhas in ‘Saaho’. However, as the actress couldn’t lose weight, she was replaced by Shraddha Kapoor. But, according to a report in BollywoodLife.com, the makers had asked for an approval from Anushka before roping in Shraddha.
An insider told the web portal, “The makers of ‘Saaho’ didn’t want to spoil their equation with Anushka just because they couldn’t collaborate together for ‘Saaho’. They have high regards for the actress so they ensured to keep her in the loop, every time they would consider someone else for the role right from Deepika Padukone to Katrina Kaif. That’s a different thing that Anushka too after one point of time started feeling that in a way it’s good she didn’t fit into the character; for the pressure around her chemistry with Prabhas was anyway getting too much to handle. She is relatively very happy that Shraddha has stepped into her shoes for ‘Saaho’.”
Well, we wonder if this is true or just a rumour.
Reportedly, before even Anushka Shetty was considered for the film, Shraddha was the first choice of the makers. However, as she quoted a hefty amount, they didn’t cast. But, apparently she then decided to cut down her payment and the makers finalised her. (Also Read: Not just ‘Saaho’, there is another connection between Shraddha and Prabhas)
Few days ago, Shraddha had tweeted, “So so excited to be a part of the ‘Saaho’ team & to be working with Prabhas!!! Woohoo.”
