Shreyas Talpade and wife Deepti become proud parents of baby girl

On May 4, Shreyas Talpade, and wife Deepti Talpade welcomed their daughter into the world. But the most interesting part of this development is that they weren’t even in India when their baby girl was born! Yes, the Talpade’s were holidaying in Hong Kong, when their daughter was born via surrogacy.

The due date for their daughter was May 10 or 12; however, she was born prematurely on May 4. Shreyas and wife had to cut short their holiday and rush back to Bombay. Shreyas Talpade revealed the details to a leading tabloid, “On the way (to the cruise in Hong Kong), we learnt that the surrogate mother had gone into labour prematurely so we changed our plans and headed back to India the same night.” (ALSO READ: Esha Deol shares first glimpse of daughter Radhya & we cannot take our eyes off her!)

The daughter came into this world even as Shreyas and wife were on their way to Mumbai. Shreyas joked, “Seems our little girl has a stubborn streak and didn’t want us to go to Hong Kong without her.” Shreyas joins the list of Bollywood stars who became parents via surrogacy, with Shah Rukh Khan, Karan Johar, and Tusshar Kapoor previously going down this route. Shreyas calls it one of the best decisions he has ever made.
