EXCLUSIVE: Arjan Bajwa and Shruti Haasan to play leads in a digital series based on The Bestseller She Wrote

In the last few months, the digital renaissance has taken over the country. With the lockdown putting a temporary pause on film releases in theatres, people looked forward to the OTT platforms for entertainment. More and more web series are being produced and now, we hear Amazon Prime has bagged the rights to adapt the novel The Bestseller She Wrote into a web series.

Now, we can tell you that the team has also locked the cast for the series. “Shruti Haasan and Arjan Bajwa will be playing the lead roles in the book adaptation. When the makers approached the two actors for the show, they loved the script and immediately signed the offer. The shoot is already underway in Mussorie,” a source confirmed to us.

The Ravi Subramanian novel is a story about love, betrayal and redemption. The story revolves around the protagonists – Aditya Kapoor who is banker & a best seller author, and Shreya Kaushik who is a student and wants to aspire to become a best selling author. Aditya is being played by Arjan Bajwa while Shruti Hassan is essaying the role of Shreya. The show will be launched sometime later this year.
