This Friday i.e on February 21 two movies are hitting the screens-‘Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan’ and ‘Bhoot-The Haunted Ship’. Both the movies are of different genres and having said that both are expected to open with different numbers on Day 1. We spoke to the film exhibitor and distributor, Akshaye Rathi and asked him how much collection is expected from both the movies on Day 1.
For ‘Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan’, Akshaye predicted Rs. 7-8 crore on Day 1 while ‘Bhoot-The Haunted Ship’ is expected to mint Rs. 5-6 crore.
‘Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan’ stars Ayushmann Khurrana and Jitendra Kumar in the lead roles and they are playing each other partners. The movie is set on the backdrop of the LGBT community which is less explored in Bollywood. The movie is creating all the right buzz among the audience since the release of its trailer. Produced by Aanand L. Rai and Bhushan Kumar, the movie is directed by Hitesh Kewalya. The movie also stars Gajraj Rao and Neena Gupta in pivotal roles.

‘Bhoot-The Haunted Ship’ is of a horror genre and it stars Vicky Kaushal and Bhumi Pednekar and Ashutosh Rana. Directed by Bhanu Pratap Singh, the film is produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta and Shashank Khaitan. This is the first movie of Vicky and Bhumi in this genre.
