The makers of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani held a special celeb screening in the city. After the screening, impressed by Ranveer's performance, Shweta Bachchan gifted him something special.

Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani is all set to release on 28 July 2023. Ahead of the release, a celeb screening was held in the city by the makers on 25 July 2023. It was attended by the lead star cast and the who’s who from tinsel town. In the film Ranveer will essay the role of Rocky Randhawa, who is Jaya Bachchan’s grandson. At the screening, impressed by performance, Shweta Bachchan Nanda appreciated Ranveer Singh in a special way.

After the screening, Shweta Bachchan Nanda was seen beaming with joy as she loved Ranveer’s character. As per a video doing rounds on the internet, it is seen that Shweta is gifting him a funky necklace. The funky necklace left Ranveer happy as he said, “I have been knighted”. After this, the actor rapped a few lines. The two were also seen sharing a warm hug.

At the screening, while Ranbir Kapoor declared himself as Team Rani to support wifey Alia, Ranveer arrived sans Deepika. Another moment from the screening that that was a sight to behold was Vicky and Katrina’s appearance. There was also a video going viral in which Jaya Bachchan is seen getting miffed at paps as they were calling her for picture.

About Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani

The flick is directed by Karan Johar and also stars veteran actors like Jaya Bachchan, Shabana Azmi and Dharmendra in pivotal roles. So far the trailer and songs of the film- Tum Kya Mile, Ve Kamleya, Dhindhora Baje Re and What Jhumka has been well received by the audience. The story and screenplay of the film are penned by Ishita Moitra, Shashank Khaitan, and Sumit Roy. While it’s music has been composed by Madan Mohan and Pritam. For those unversed, the rom-com also marks Karan Johar’s return to directorial seat after seven years.
