Shweta Basu Prasad announces separation from husband Rohit Mittal; Says, “Somethings are best left unfinished”

Last year, ‘Makdee’ and ‘Badrinath ki Dulhania’ actress Shweta Basu Prasad had tied the knot with her filmmaker boyfriend Rohit Mittal. The couple tied the knot on 13 December at a five-star hotel in Pune. Now, much to everyone’s surprise the couple has called off their wedding.

Shweta took to her Instagram handle to announce the heartbreaking news. The actress wrote that they have mutually decided to part ways and end their marriage. The couple had contemplated this decision for months and separation was in their best interest as individuals.

In her post, Shweta wrote, “Not every book is supposed to be read cover to cover. that doesn’t mean the book is bad, or one cant read, some things are just best left unfinished.(sic)” She wished Rohit good luck and thanked him for irreplaceable memories.

Shweta and Rohit’s wedding took place as per Bengali and Marwari rituals, that started off with Mehendi ceremony.

Well, we wish the couple good luck and hope they find the light again at the end of the tunnel.

On the work front, Shweta was last seen in Vivek Agnihotri’s film ‘The Tashkent Files’ and Vasan Bala’s ‘Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota’.
