Amidst this; just like everyone else, Bollywood celebs have been doing as much to contribute to helping out the Covid-19 patients and families. Actress Shweta Basu Prasad has decided to help out the Covid-19 victims as she celebrated 100 years of Satyajit Ray.
Shweta has decided to auction her painting ‘100 years of Satyajit Ray’ and all the proceeds will go to helping out Covid patients, the medical fraternity and their families. Shweta took to her social media account and said that the starting bid amount will be Rs 50,000 for the painting.
Shweta took to her Instagram account and sharing pictures of her painting she wrote, “? PAINTING ON SALE FOR COVID FUNDS ? Swipe left. Acrylic on canvas. I am a self-taught painter, please excuse my attempt ?? I am an artist, I don’t know any other way to help sitting at home. And I really want to. Share. Happy birthday Ray ❤️ #100yearsofray #100yearsofsatyajitray #india (sic)”
Talking about Satyajit Ray she wrote, “Satyajit Ray wrote stories and made films about the common man, it’s fitting that I take this initiative today on his birth centenary.”
