Titled ‘Quickie’, the film is a production of Oddball Motion Pictures. Palak will appear alongside Darsheel Safary of ‘Taare Zameen Par’ fame.
“This is my first film and I am really looking forward to it. I just hope it will be a great journey, like I expected it to be, and people will appreciate this film. I have a great time working with Darsheel. He is very experienced and a great actor. It was really fun working with him,” an excited Palak said.

“Teen Comedy is an unexplored and a neglected genre in India. Imagine the stories that can come out of twisted hormones and questioning minds. Most of our so called teenage films have characters who are 20 to 30 years old. The idea was to make a teenage film with real teenagers. Darsheel, 20, and Prabhjyot fit the bill instantly, but finding the lead actress became a difficult task. We auditioned hundreds of girls, and even thought that maybe we should go with an older girl. But after 4 months of searching, we came across Palak, 17, who blew us away with her acting skills, subtle expressions, and confidence in the audition. Also the fact that she is a teenager helps her to get into the character easily and aids her performance,” said Pradip Atluri, the film’s director-producer.
The film also stars Bhavin Bhanushali, Prabhjyot Singh, Caitlin Burke and Vinny Miranda among others.
