Siddhanth Kapoor says he took Dawood Ibrahim’s character as a challenge

Playing the titular role in ‘Haseena’ is surely a challenge for Shraddha Kapoor. But for her brother Siddhanth Kapoor, it is probably a bigger challenge. Although he already appeared in a couple of films, Siddhanth is yet to receive recognition as an actor. Dawood Ibrahim’s character, if donned probably, might just turn out to be the turning point in his career.

“These days there are a lot of biopics that are being made in Indian cinema like ‘Mary Kom’, ‘Sarbjit’ or ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ through which people are getting to know about their lives. Also, for an actor there is a lot of performance scope because of the graph of these characters. I didn’t think twice before taking up this character. I took it (Dawood’s life) up as a challenge,” Siddhanth told a news agency.

“One of the main reasons why I decided to do ‘Haseena’ was that I got to play someone whose life has been all over the media. I see it from an actor’s point of view,” he added.

Dawood’s character is almost a legendary one and has been essayed by veteran actors in past. Will Siddhanth be able to live up to all the expectations? Time will answer.
