Producer Siddharth Roy Kapur has produced movies like ‘Dangal’, ‘Haider’, ‘Jagga Jasoos’, ‘Pihu’ and many more under his banner Roy Kapur Films. Now, he is going to back a biopic on late Rajaram Tiwari, who is popularly known as Bhule Bhatke Tiwari. He helped reunite people lost in Kumbh Mela. Umesh Tiwari, his son, has carried forward the legacy started by his father.
Late Rajaram Tiwari reunited the worshippers with their family members who lost in the Kumbh Mela in Allahabad. He started this in 1946 and continued till he took his last breath in 2016. Mr. Tiwari had helped reunite 10 lakhs of people with their loved ones. Over 120 million people are thought to have visited the Maha Kumbh Mela in 2013, with almost 30 million visiting on a single day. It is one of the largest peaceful gatherings of people in the world. It has been inscribed on the UNESCO’s Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
Siddharth and his Roy Kapur Films have acquired the life rights of Rajaram Tiwari, Umesh Tiwari, and his family. The star cast is yet to be decided. It will be interesting to watch a biopic on the man who worked for such a noble cause like this.
