‘KWK 6’: Sidharth Malhotra opens up on breakup with Alia Bhatt; details here

Sidharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt started their Bollywood career with Karan Johar’s directorial, ‘Student of the Year’. Soon after their Bollywood debut, the duo started dating each other.  They both were spotted together on multiple occasions. Unfortunately, after dating for a year, Alia and Sidharth parted their ways. The duo never talked about their relationship as of now.

In the latest episode of ‘Koffee With Karan 6’, Sidharth Malhotra and Aditya Roy Kapur graced the couch and revealed many secrets. When host Karan Johar asked Sidharth about his breakup with Alia, the handsome hunk replied, “We haven’t met after it. Our relationship is civil… I don’t think it’s bitter. It’s been a while. I have known her for much longer even before we dated. I gave my first ever shot with her in ‘SOTY’ so there is so much history.”

The actor further said, “There is a reason why two people decide not to be together. There were lots of ups and downs. When you take yourself from a situation, you look at all the happy and good memories.”

On the work front, Sidharth is currently working with Parineeti Chopra for ‘Jabariya Jodi’. On the other hand, Alia is busy promoting her next film ‘Gully Boy’. It is slated to release on 14 February. Helmed by Zoya Akhtar, the musical drama stars Ranveer Singh in the lead role and is loosely based on the life of rappers Divine and Naezy. Alia will also be seen in Mahesh Bhatt’s directorial comeback, ‘Sadak 2’. Besides Alia, the film also has Sanjay Dutt and Aditya Roy Kapur in lead roles.
