Sidharth Malhotra and Sonakshi Sinha will be seen sharing screen space for the first time in ‘Ittefaq’, the remake of the 1969 thriller of the same name which starred Rajesh Khanna and Nanda. While the previous part was directed by Yash Chopra, the remake is helmed by Abhay Chopra.
The shoot of the film started just a few days back, and according to reports, the movie will be a short one and the shooting of the film is all set to wrap up soon. A few portions of the thriller have reportedly been canned and there will be no songs. With only one promotional video, the run time of the remake will be less than two hours. (Also Read: Watch: Shah Rukh Khan reveals the star cast of ‘Ittefaq’ remake)
A source informed to a leading daily, “Ittefaq doesn’t have songs and it’s a murder mystery with a twist. So the makers thought that making it long will work against it. Plus, there are no songs. So the makers have taken bulk dates from Sid and Sonakshi to finish the film as soon as possible.”
‘Ittefaq’ is produced by Red Chillies, Dharma Productions and BR films.
Apart from this, Sidharth will next be seen in ‘Reload’ opposite Jacqueline Fernandez. The movie is set to release on August 25, 2017. Sonakshi, on the other hand, will next be seen as a journalist in ‘Noor’ directed by Sunhil Sippy. The film is slated to release on April 21, 2017.
