With actors coming in a out of the project, we are still in a pickle as to who will star in Anurag Basu’s ‘Life In A Metro’ sequel. Actors like Taapsee Pannu, Arjun Kapoor, Abhishek Bachchan, Ileana D’Cruz, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif Ali Khan, and many more have been said to be a part of the sequel, but none are confirmed as of yet.
Sidharth Malhotra too was apparently approached to be a part of the sequel of this 2007 blockbuster which starred Dharmendra, Nafisa Ali, Shilpa Shetty, Shiney Ahuja, Kay Kay Menon, Kangana Ranaut, Sharman Joshi, Konkona Sen Sharma and Irrfan Khan in the lead roles.
Sidharth might not have had a fair enough report at the box office off late, but the actor still has some interesting projects in his kitty.
Bhushan Kumar and Anurag both met Sidharth and narrated the script to him. He was paired opposite Taapsee Pannu in the project, but according to our exclusive sources, the actor has put the offer down.
Says a source, “Sidharth doesn’t want to do multiple hero projects at this point. He wants to do bigger films as his career needs that boost. so he politely declined the offer.” He has also been offered another project by the same banner now.
On the work front, Sidharth is currently shooting for Balaji’s ‘Jabariya Jodi’ and also plays the lead in the Vikram Batra biopic next.
