Sidharth Malhotra is basking in the glory of his latest release Shershaah. Sidharth played the role of late Captain Vikram Batra alongside Kiara Advani. The fans and critics have been loving the movie and the two stars have garnered a lot of love. But there was a time when Sidharth was being called a misfit in the industry because he did not come from a ‘filmy’ background and he was written off for most movies. But when we asked Sidharth Malhotra in an exclusive conversation if he feels any kind of acceptance post Shershaah releasing and almost carving a niche for himself.

Sidharth told Bollywood Bubble, “I have always said this, I dont want to change myself or adapt to a certain industry or a certain norm. I feel I will be faking it. I feel I only know how to be myself, that is the only person that I know and this is who I am. Of course, there is nothing wrong with people who opt a certain way, there is no one correct way to push yourself and talk about it. I personally like to lie low a bit and do some bits when, like today, I think when my work speaks for my PR and name I think that is the correct way of doing it. Possibly because of the background that I come from. That is what I feel if you do your work well, eventually you will get that kind of attention and the love that you need.”

Sidharth further said that he is not one to chose the loud way when it comes to promoting his talent. He likes to let he work to the talking which is why he wants to build a connect with the fans and audience through his characters, “Though today there are various examples that people like to scream and shout everywhere and get attention but I am not judging them. I just feel that’s not me and just like they are being themselves I am being myself. It’s today ‘fitting in’ because of the love that the film gets and people connect to me as that character on that film more than me in real life.”
