Actor Sidharth Malhotra is playing Captain Vikram Batra in Vishnu Varadhan’s Shershaah. This is for the first time he is playing a role based on a real-life war hero. Sidharth has gone through rigorous training for his role and shot in extreme conditions for the movie. As Sidharth is playing the Kargil hero in the biopic, there are some intense large-scale action sequences and the film was shot in extreme conditions. The makers kept it authentic as major portions of Shershaah were shot at a height of approx. 14,000ft in Kargil itself. Sidharth did full justice to those action sequences as he did all the heavy hand-to-hand combat as well as weaponry scenes himself. The height also made it tough to recover from any on-set injuries due to lack of oxygen. After seeing the trailer of Shershaah, we can say that Sidharth and the team have pulled off the realistic action sequences really well.
Sidharth has got positive responses for the trailer as he is seen in a never-seen-before avatar. In the film, he has sported three different looks as per the storyline of Captain Vikram Batra’s life. It would be interesting to see Sidharth in all three looks in the movie.

Talking about Captain Vikram Batra, he played a very crucial role during the Kargil War (1999). He was awarded the Param Vir Chakra, which is India’s highest war-time gallantry award. The film celebrates his valiant spirit and honors his invaluable sacrifice. The film will also show Vikram Batra and Dimple Cheema’s love story. Kiara Advani is essaying the role of Batra’s fiancee Dimple Cheema.
