EXCLUSIVE: ‘Sidharth Malhotra’s Shershaah was my inspiration to do Operation Valentine,’ reveals Varun Tej

Varun Tej is one of the popular actors in the Telugu film industry. He is set to foray into Bollywood with his aerial actioner Operation Valentine. Ahead of the film’s release, Varun sat down for an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble and opened up about his upcoming film, chemistry with Sai Pallavi, wife Lavanya Tripathi, family legacy, and a lot more. During the candid conversation, Varun Tej revealed Sidharth Malhotra starrer Shershaah was the reason for Operation Valentine coming into fore.

Varun Tej talks about Shershaah

The actor said, “When I was listening to Operation Valentine, there’s this film of Sidharth Malhotra’s called Shershaah, I actually didn’t really know the backstory of the character he was playing, Vikram Batra, and when I saw the film, I was in tears watching the climax of the film and I was feeling what am I doing with life. Like I’m just being an actor, just sitting here, looking after myself and my own family and look at that guy be so selfless.”

He added, “Then I was like okay now ‘don’t like knock your head too much out’. But as an actor what can you do? You can probably make good films like this. Take those real stories of the real heroes out to people. And then I was like ‘ok I am doing the right film’. So, it kind of gave me an inspiration that you’re on the right path.”

The Shakti Pratap Singh directorial also stars Manushi Chhillar and will release on 1^st March, 2024.
