Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh feels that the year 2018 is truly a blessed year for him. The reason being that he won praises galore for his performance in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s period drama ‘Padmaavat’ that also featured Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor. The ‘Befikre’ star had depicted the role of an antagonist Alauddin Khilji and aptly displayed the character’s ruthlessness on the big screen. He won the Star Screen Award for his performance in the film.

He also tied the knot with actress Deepika Padukone, his girlfriend of six years, in November this year at Lake Como in Italy. The much-in-love couple took their vows as per Sindhi and Konkani traditions in the presence of family and friends. Ranveer described the moment as the best of 2018.

He also added that working for Zoya Akhtar’s ‘Gully Boy’ and rapping is something that is truly memorable for him. The star is now excited about the Rohit Shetty action drama ‘Simmba’ that releases in theaters on December 28, 2018. The ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’ star is depicting the role of Sangram Bhalerao, a cop for the first time in his career.

Ranveer added, “Well it could be a landmark year for me. And I hope ‘Simmba’, that has a lot of positivity around it, does really, really well. Then I would have notched a massive year.

‘Simmba’ also features Sara Ali Khan in a pivotal role and has cameos by Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Arshad Warsi, and many others.
