On Friday, a Patiala sessions court suspended the two year jail term of singer Daler Mehndi. He was convicted in a human trafficking case and was awarded two years of jail sentence by a trial court.
It is indeed a huge relief for the singer who took to his social media and thanked his supporters with a video.

The Additional District and Sessions Judge Rajeev Kalra suspended the sentence issued against Daler Mehndi who was convicted under Sections 420 and 120-B of the Indian Penal Code. (Also Read: Daler Mehndi gives his clarification on Twitter on being convicted)
The cops had filed a case against the Punjabi singer and his brother Shamsher Singh who died last year on the pretext of them taking money from people and whisking off to some foreign land. The complainant Bakhshish Singh stated that the accused failed to fulfill his promise and didn’t return the money. Daler was arrested in Otcober 2003 with his brother.
