Bollywood singer Krishnakumar Kunnath aka KK dies due to heart attack in Kolkata after his concert. KK dies at the age of 53. As reported by India Today, the playback singer collapsed after the concert and was immediately rushed to a private hospital in the city. According to India Today report, the singer was ‘brought dead’ to Kolkata’s CMRI Hospital.
The news of his passing has shocked fans. For the uninitiated, KK had earlier today posted photos from his concert at Kolkata’s Nazrul Mancha.

Several celebrities including Akshay Kumar and Rahul Vaidya has reacted to the shocking news of his death. Akshay Kumar mourned his demise. He took to Twitter and wrote, “Extremely sad and shocked to know of the sad demise of KK. What a loss! Om Shanti.” Rahul Vaidya tweeted, “I hear singer KK just passed away. GOD what is really happening!!?? I mean WHAT IS HAPPENING. One of the nicest humans kk sir was. Gone too soon at 53.Beyond shocked. RIP sir.”
Calling it music industry’s loss, Shefali Jariwala tweeted, “Another massive loss to the Indian music industry.. Siner KK’s untimely demise… This has been such a difficult year. I have such fond memories of sharing the stage with KK… I’m in shock #kk can’t believe it.. don’t want to believe it.”
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also expressed his sadness as he tweeted, “Saddened by the untimely demise of noted singer Krishnakumar Kunnath popularly known as KK. His songs reflected a wide range of emotions as struck a chord with people of all age groups. We will always remember him through his songs. Condolences to his family and fans. Om Shanti.”
KK was one of the most versatile singers of the Indian music industry. He has recorded songs in several languages including Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Bengali among others. He is now survived by his wife and children.”

Ajay Devgn offered condolences to his family. He tweeted, “It seems so ominous. The news of KK’s death that too right after a live performance is terrible. He sang for films I was associated with, so his loss seems that much more personal. RIP #KrishnakumarKunnath.
