Television actor Muskan Nancy James has filed a domestic violence FIR against her husband, Prashant Motwani, mother-in-law Mona Motwani, and sister-in-law, actor Hansika Motwani. The allegations include abuse, interference in her marriage, demands for expensive gifts, and fraudulent property dealings.

The FIR was registered on December 18, 2024, at the Amboli Police Station in Mumbai under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), including 498-A (cruelty to a woman by her husband or his relatives), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 504 (intentional insult), 506 (criminal intimidation), and 34 (acts done by several persons with common intention).

Muskan alleged that her mother-in-law and sister-in-law played a significant role in straining her marital relationship. She also accused her husband of domestic violence, stating that the abuse led to her developing Bell’s Palsy, a condition that causes temporary facial paralysis. Additionally, she claimed that the three demanded expensive gifts and money while engaging in fraudulent property-related activities.

Speaking to ETimes, Muskan confirmed the legal action, stating, “I have sought legal assistance now. At this point, I am not at liberty to comment further.” Muskan and Prashant, who tied the knot in 2020, have been living separately since 2022. Despite the seriousness of the accusations, neither Prashant nor Hansika has responded to the FIR at the time of reporting.

Muskan Nancy James is a well-known television actor who began her career with Thodi Khushi Thode Gham. She rose to fame with her role in Mata Ki Chowki and has since appeared in popular TV shows like Code Red, Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap, and Agent Raghav – Crime Branch.

This case has garnered significant media attention, raising concerns about the prevalence of domestic abuse and its severe consequences. As the legal proceedings unfold, all eyes remain on the responses from Prashant Motwani and Hansika Motwani regarding these allegations.
