Soha Ali Khan and Kunal Kemmu recently launched their book Inni and Bobo for their daughter Inaaya Naumi Kemmu. The book is about a young girl and her adventure with a young adopted puppy. Recently, we caught up with Soha and Kunal where they spoke about the inspiration behind the book, Inaaya’s love for animals, life with their daughter and who is the bad and the good cop. Also, they spoke about the paparazzi culture effect on her.

Soha said she is the bad cop. “I have let lot of things go but during bed time, I am villainous cop.I am little more interested in her nutrition.” Kunal added, “For chocolates, ice creams and lollipops I have to see permission from her.”

Talking about Inaaya how she is as a kid, the Lootcase actor said, “A happy kid can become a naughty kid, a silent kid can become talkative or a talkative one can become silent because they go like that. I discover this about myself. There were certain things that I used to hate eating. Those things I loved to eat after a point.”

In the book, there is a line, ‘I get scared of people I don’t know and then mamma holds me’. When asked if Inaaya is a people person, Soha said that she is a people person but also shy. While Kunal added, “I had put that line purposely because I have seen it not only with Inaaya, but other kids also. They go through that phase where they will be good with everybody and then strangers anxiety kicks in. And it’s different with different kids.I remember one kid who gets scared with anybody who has a beard and they would just not look at them. Even with Jeh. Like last time, a couple of months ago when I saw him,he was scared to see me but two days ago when I saw him again, he was very warm. I think they all go through that strangers anxiety.”

Soha said, “And actually it’s important because it’s your self-defence because you shouldn’t just be same with the strangers as you would be with someone known to you.”

On the paparazzi culture effect on Inaaya, Soha Ali Khan said, “The only thing bother me is what’s going on in her mind and whether there’s some kind of psychological effect that this will have in the future as well. Because today they are taking a picture, tomorrow they won’t be taking a picture. And I don’t know what impact that will have.”
