Tumbbad fame Sohum Shah credits Shah Rukh Khan for his success in the industry; says, “I am here because of him”

Shah Rukh Khan has long been a source of inspiration for many, and actor-director Sohum Shah is no exception. The Tumbbad star, who is gearing up for his upcoming production venture Crazxy, recently shared his admiration for the Bollywood icon. In fact, Sohum believes that anyone who doesn’t have at least 5 percent of Shah Rukh Khan’s essence in them has no right to live. He further claimed that whatever he is today, he owes it to Shah Rukh Khan.

In his conversation with Pinkvilla, Sohum revealed why he holds SRK in such high regard. He said, “Mai toh yahan hu Shah Rukh Khan saab ke vajah se aur mai toh ye bohat jagah kehta hu ki jiss insaan me Shah Rukh Khan ka 5 percent bhi nhi hai, usse jeene ka bhi koi haq nhi hai.” (I am here because of Shah Rukh Khan, sir, and I keep saying that a person who doesn’t even have 5 percent of SRK in them doesn’t have the right to live.)

Sohum went on to praise the legacies of other legendary actors, Amitabh Bachchan and Salman Khan, acknowledging their vast and enduring influence in the industry. He expressed his admiration for Amitabh Bachchan’s unparalleled body of work, emphasising that no one can truly match his contributions to Indian cinema. Sohum also acknowledged Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Amitabh Bachchan as monumental figures in the industry, each representing their own legacy.

The film features an ensemble cast, including Mukesh Shah, Amita Shah, and Adesh Prasad, and is directed by Girish Kohli.
