Singer Sona Mohapatra is a feisty woman and she doesn’t refrain from calling a spade a spade. The singer is also known for her eccentric choices and bold statements even on the most controversial subjects. The ‘Jiya Lage Na’ singer recently gave a very sassy reply to a publication that called her sartorial choice ‘Ugly’.
The singer came across an old fashion article wherein she was wearing a button-down dress, with a plait growing out of her dress’ pocket. She had kept her make-up minimum. The publication labelled Sona’s fashion choice as ‘Ugly’. Now commenting on the news piece, Sona wrote, “Cus I decided to be sartorially political some moons ago at a fashion event hosted by a booze company. #Ugly #Yes #PrettyIsBoring. This was a @KallolDatta creation I was wearing. #Black #throwback(sic).”

Well, sometimes ‘Pretty’ is indeed boring, isn’t it?
Sona isn’t afraid of hitting back at trolls and that’s the reason why she ends up grabbing headlines all the time. A few days back she was in news for slamming filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma for his insensitive remark on women buying alcohol post the government’s ease on restrictions during the lockdown.
